L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

There is a new old-vine Monastrell, the 2014 Origen from a year similar to 2003, warm and dry. The vines are organically farmed, and the grapes fermented with 20% full clusters in 10,000-liter oak vats with indigenous yeasts. It matured in 500-liter oak barrels for one year. There is more concentration and depth here, black fruit, pungent flavors and fine-grained tannins. It has a chalky texture that adds to its freshness. 15,000 bottles were filled in August 2016.

James Suckling:

The nose here has a reticent, red-fruit core with fresh cherry and raspberry notes. The palate delivers a smooth array of ripe and bright plums and carries a wealth of juicy appeal. Drink or hold.
