Fairly golden in colour for a young wine, pear and a little beeswax on the discreetly fragrant approach. Voluptuous on the palate but not heavy, with distinctly low acidity, and a little nutty touch on the finish. The alcohol is present in texture and subtle sweetness, but there's no heat. Unapologetically Rhône, this might be a bit extreme for some, particularly in its low acidity. But very much of its place, with its own sense of aromatic freshness.
