L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The Tenuta di Biserno 2018 Il Pino di Biserno is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc from the sun-kissed coast of Tuscany. This is a velvety and nicely extracted expression that delivers textbook aromas of dark fruit, dried blackberry, spice, leather, tar and tobacco. Comparatively speaking, this vintage is leaner compared to past editions. The wine is not quite full-bodied, but almost, and it offers the textural emphasis and power to pair with a filet mignon, cooked rare and seared briefly on either side over an open fire.

James Suckling:

Blackberries, blueberries, dried raspberries, cedar, clove and vanilla bean on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and juicy layers of ripe fruit. Cocoa and dried herbs, too. Drink from 2022.

Wine Enthusiast:

Made with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, this has intense aromas of cassis, camphor, leather and dark spice. It's smooth and savory, doling out ripe blackberry, juicy black currant, licorice and tobacco accompanied by polished tannins.
