The Wine Advocate:

I guess you make mistakes in the beginning, because the 2016 Cantariña 3 El Triángulo had a very poor cork, irrespective of the price of the wine. It comes from an old plot planted with Mencía and perhaps 10% other varieties (Garnacha Tintorera, Palomino, Grao Negro). The grapes fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in two 225-liter oak barrels for one year. It has berry fruit and spices and something a little blurry that made me hesitate, plus a dry touch on the palate. Looking at the cork, I could only wonder if the bottle was in good shape... The wine felt good, but there was something not quite right. As they didn't register in the DO until 2017, all the wines from before are sold without the appellation of origin. Only 525 bottles produced.
