L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2013 Campo Alegre is pure Tempranillo (aka Tinta de Toro) fermented in a mixture of stainless steel and concrete vats. It's a powerful wine with 15% alcohol from a fresh vintage. The wine matured in 225- and 600-liter French oak barrels for one year before being bottled. The freshness of the vintage is immediately noticeable with a mixture of red and black berries and nicely integrated oak. They tend to harvest quite late in Toro and start when many are finishing. However, in the last few years they are harvesting a little bit earlier. 80,000 bottles produced."
