L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2014 Callejo Crianza is a ripe and oaky Tempranillo from the village of Sotillo de la Ribera, aged for one year in French barrels. It has plenty of sweet spices and smoky notes intermixed with plums and black berries and some hints of freshness, orange peel and perhaps flowers in the background. The palate has abundant, dusty tannins and a lot of oak-related flavors. Very good in its oaky style. 90,000 bottles produced."

James Suckling:

A dense and focused red with dark berry, walnut and hints of mineral. Dark chocolate, too. Full body, layered and flavorful. Shows extraction but should soften in a year or two. Excellent quality.
