Arinto dos Açores Indígenas 2020

The 2020 Arinto dos Açores Indígenas is unoaked, nearly bone dry (about half a gram of residual sugar) and comes in at just 12.3% alcohol. This is a new label. From this year on, all the winery's wines are going to be spontaneous fermentations, wild ferments. Earthy and stonewashed, this starts off feeling full in the mouth, but as it airs and warms, it becomes more about the pure power and precision. With air, it shows more purity too. It always grips the palate and never lets go. That finish is impressive. Overall, this is beautiful. It should age reasonably well, but take that in stages.
