The Wine Advocate:

The 2018 Trabener Zollturm Riesling Spätlese is deep, elegant and flinty on the spicy/peppery nose that displays very fine notes of herbs and milled stones or, after aeration, lemon chutney and ginger gum. Round and elegant on the palate, this is a refined and crystalline but smooth, fruity, well-balanced and juicy Zollturm in the medium-dry to medium-sweet Spätlese style. The wine has a nervy, crystalline structure with finessed acidity and fine tannin structure that makes this is a delicate, piquant and finely grippy Spätlese that needs 5 to 10 years to reach its peak. It should then be an exciting table wine. Tasted from AP 184 20 in April 2020.
