Elaborado a partir del privilegiado viñedo Il Brico, este barbaresco de la histórica familia Pio Cesari refleja el alma de esta región y de la uva Nebbiolo. Intensa, expresiva, persistente y con un extraordinario potencial de guarda, esta joya italiana debe ser disfrutada con platos que estén a la altura de su poderío. Recomendamos descorcharlo a partir de 2024 para poder gozar de todos sus matices.

Nez
Expresiva, intensa y memorable. Regala aromas de flores, de arándanos, de grosellas y de cerezas que dan paso a las notas ahumadas y de regaliz.
Bouche
Potente, estructurada y con gran concentración de sabores. Exhibe unos taninos maduros y un final persistente.
Température de service
Se recomienda servir entre 16 y 18 °C.
Garde
Óptimo hasta 2038 aproximadamente si se conserva en buenas condiciones.
Accord mets et vin
Ideal con carnes rojas a la brasa y con recetas y guisos contundentes con toques ahumados.

Description
Este vino se elabora a partir de una meticulosa selección de las uvas más maduras de tres diferentes parcelas de la parte con mayor altitud de la viña familiar Cascina Il Bricco, en el pueblo de Treiso.
Climat
Continental.
Vinification
Fermentación en tanques de acero inoxidable a temperaturas bastante altas. Se somete a un extenso período de maceración con las pieles durante 30 días.
Elevage
Crianza durante 30 meses en toneles de roble francés “botti” y una pequeña parte también en barricas.

L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Dried strawberries, ash, tar and dried flowers, such as roses, on the nose. Full-bodied and very tannic with powerful tannins and a savory finish. It’s spicy and intense at the end. A very structured red. Imposing tannins. Drink in 2024.

The Wine Advocate:

With fruit from the village of Treiso, the Pio Cesare 2017 Barbaresco Il Bricco shows a delicate and fine embroidery of small berry fruit, wild blueberry, blue flower, smoky ash and licorice. There is a tarry note in this vintage that is spurred on, I am sure, by the heat and drought of the summer season. Despite that extreme weather, the wine is gracefully contained and never too ripe or heavy.

Decanter:

From two plots from the Il Bricco estate, producing around 5,000 bottles per year. It's windy at this high elevation, with big diurnal and nocturnal temperature differences. Earthy, with pure red and black berry aromas, it features lovely sweet, ripe flavours accompanied by excellent freshness. It displays a better tannic structure and higher acidity than the entry-level Barbaresco, with excellent balance and freshness.
