The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 La Esquirla del Bardallo was produced in the same way as the 2018 (which I also tasted)—fermentation with a long maceration, followed by 15 months in Austrian and French oak barrels. It's very surprising how fresh the wine is. There was a change in the vinification: they used plastic bins in the past, but in 2019 they started using an oak vat and feel that the change is noticeable—it polishes the wine a little bit more. The wine has very good depth and is tasty, with harmony and freshness, but with a different fruit profile from the 2018. A great achievement for a 2019. 1,270 bottles were filled in July 2021
