L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

From low yielding, 65+ years old vines on granite soils, the 2012 Riesling Grand Cru Brand is pure, cool, fresh and piquant on the nose, intermixing citrus flavors with flinty aromas. Intense, pure and mineral on the palate, this dry, austerely-firm structured wine reveals remarkable vitality, power and tension in the very long and salty finish. Very crystalline and refined, but still too discreet to evaluate its true class precisely. The 2012 Brand was fermented down to three grams of residual sugar and 12.5% alcohol. Picked at the same time like the corresponding Grand Cru Hengst, the Brand should develop very well over the next 15+ years. 1,800 bottles produced.
