L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2015 Vieux Clos St-Emilion is a blend of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec located just next to Château Grand-Mayne. It is matured in 50% new oak and the remainder one-year-old. It has a refined blackberry, briary and violet-scented bouquet that is neatly enmeshed with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied, old school Saint Émilion in some ways, but very well balanced with slightly rustic tannin, well-judged acidity and plenty of freshness on the tertiary finish. There is plenty of character in this Saint Émilion and I look forward to tasting it in bottle. Chapeau!"
