L'avis des experts
The newest release of the NV Brut C. de Réserve is an assemblage of 48% Chardonnay, 41% Pinot Meunier and 11% Pinot Noir and based on the 2013 vintage (71%), completed with reserve wines from 2012 (12%), 2011 (12%) and 2010 (5%%), all vinified in stainless steel, with the malolactic fermentation partly done. The citrus colored wine opens with a very clear, chalky, precise and citrus-scented bouquet. On the palate, this is a round, complex, very clear and elegant blend that is clearly dominated by the lush and fleshy fruit of the Chardonnay. It is highly elegant and fine but also generous and intense, with a long, complex, well-structured and mineral finish. This is an exciting Champagne. Disgorged in March 2017; tasted in April 2018.
