L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Complex aromas of cherries, figs and spices with some fresh flowers follow through to a medium to full body with creamy tannin texture and a sour cherry aftertaste. Lightly chewy at the end with fine tannins. So drinkable and refreshing but it has a pretty tannin backbone. Drink or hold.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2015 Viña Cubillo Tinto Crianza reflects the warmer conditions of the year, and with the riper fruit they picked to produce this wine, they still managed to keep around 13.5% alcohol. The Cubillo vineyard has more clay, and sometimes clay soils take heat better and make the wines fresher than those from poorer soils. 140,000 bottles produced.

Tim Atkin:

"2015 had good acidity for a hot year," says Mercedes López de Heredia of this assemblage of Tempranillo with 20% Garnacha and 5% each of Graciano and Mazuelo. It's still on the young side for me, with the freshness of its slightly higher site, firmish tannins and a savoury, spicy finish. A little angular? 2023-28
