L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

Cousins Koldo and Eduardo Eguren are the scions of one of the most famous winemaking families in Rioja, so it's no surprise that this youthful Tempranillo is so good. Five parcels in four villages - Assa, Llanos, Miralobueno, Prado and Puntido - make up the blend, producing a polished, medium-weight red with subtle oak, violet and rose petal scents and vibrant, energetic plum and black cherry fruit. 2024-30.

The Wine Advocate:

The fruit-driven red 2019 Senderos de Ukan was freshened up by adding some carbonic-maceration wine from younger vines, but the core is destemmed Tempranillo from different plots of vines fermented separately. It has 13.5% alcohol and good freshness, a juicy palate and fine tannins, making it approachable and pleasant. 31,032 bottles produced. It was bottled after one year in barrel.

James Suckling:

Hints of vanilla, walnut and cedar to the blackberries and red cherries. A juicy, medium-bodied Rioja with creamy red plums and berries on the palate, before a refined, chocolatey finish. Drink now.
