L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The white 2016 Reto is produced with Albillo or Albilla grapes, a variety that is different from the Albillo found in Gredos, Ribera del Duero or La Palma in the Canary Islands. This is always a super mineral, austere, tasty and salty white with a strong personality and an absence of fruit (especially tropical) aromas. This has slowly improved since 2010, as they have learned to manage the grape, lowering the alcoholic level and keeping the balance and the flavors. The result is a wine with better freshness in the nose, with a profile that made me think of a cool-climate white, and the palate is also aided by the freshness and length provided by the granite found in some of the vineyards used for it. It fermented in 600-liter casks and one 4,000-liter oak vat, fermenting the juice obtained by pressing the full clusters with the full lees. There is great balance between acidity and alcohol, with a very tasty finish. 13,000 bottles were filled in March 2017."
