Plaer 2014

"The 2014 Plaer, as all reds here, is a blend of Garnacha and Cariñena selected from old vineyards in different villages of Priorat, El Molar, Bellmunt, Falset, Porrera, Poboleda, El Lloar and Torroja del Priorat. After fermentation the wine matured in new and used French oak barrels for 13 months. Even at such young age it feels very balance and subtle. There are notes of wet slate intermixed with dark berries and a sense of freshness that is remarkable for the vintage. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with elegant tannins and a nice tactile sensation, with some earthiness and final minerality. 6,621 bottles were filled in June 2016."
