Pescuda Blanco 2018
Fiche technique
L'avis des experts
The Albariño from the A Pedreira zone where the soils are sandy and white from degraded granite is the 2018 A Pedreira. It fermented in stainless steel and barrique (20% of the volume) with indigenous yeasts, then the two sets of wine matured in their fermentation vessels for five to six months, after which they were blended and bottled. The aim here is to have some fruit but also express the minerality of the granite soils. As it rained just before the harvest, the grapes didn't get stressed and ripened properly; the malic acid went down, and the wine is mellower. It has less volume and acidity than the 2019, so it has a different balance. This is mellow and subtle, very approachable. 18,000 bottles. It was bottled in March 2019.
