Produced in a warm year that delivered concentrated and tannic wines, the 2012 Parcela El Picón shows all those characteristics with plenty of extraction and tannin in a style of yesteryear. It matured in new French barrels after being concentrated by bleeding, which I find unbelievable and completely unnecessary—and so is the price tag. For those who are fans of very oaky, extracted, tannic, powerful reds—and also have a disposable income. 2,500 bottles were filled in March 2015. As a curiosity, I tasted from a magnum.

Impresionante. Hay que abrirlo un par de horas antes para sacarle su máxima expresión .
De intenso color cereza picota. Aromas complejos. Muy intenso en boca con mucho cuerpo. Contundente. Merece la pena decantar.
