Baked berry and cherry aromas are ripe and come with accents of mocha, leather and caramel. This feels full but not heavy, with balance and cushion to the palate. Spiced black-fruit flavors show a tea-like note, while this is dry, spicy and a touch chocolaty on the finish. Drink through 2026.
Montecillo Urpsrung liegt in Fuenmayor, einem Dorf mit langer Weinbautradition in der Rioja Alta. Es befindet sich in der Nähe des Ebro und ist von der unverwechselbaren Felsmasse der Sierra de Cantabria umrahmt. [break]
In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erkundeten eine Handvoll Enthusiasten die Produktionsweisen von Bordeaux und versuchten diese nachzustellen, wodurch sie das moderne Rioja erschufen.
