L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

Part of the new line of varietal wines, the 2017 La Novena Rufete Blanco is produced with the local white grape Rufete Blanco, which is still not allowed by the appellation Sierra de Salamanca. The grapes underwent a 24-hour cold soak, after which they were pressed and the must put to ferment with natural yeasts in two 500-liter French oak barrels, where the wine matured for a little over two months. It has a golden color and a creamy and ripe nose, reflecting a warm and dry year. There are notes of white pepper and other spices, and the profile is quite different; it has volume but keeps good balance. 1,015 bottles were filled in April 2018.

James Suckling:

An attractive white with quite fresh and gently pithy lemons and pears, pervading a focused, long and succulent palate. Drink now.
