La Vitoriana 2021

The finest and most elegant wine I have ever tasted from Vinos Valtuille is the 2021 La Vitoriana, a vino de paraje from one of the coolest places in their village. Their search for a fresh and fine wine that is elegant and has personality has been really successful here with this plot across the two valleys of the lieu-dit, mixing north and south exposures. The wine is floral, perfumed, elegant and still a little marked by the élevage in small barrels (again, what would happen her if they used larger barrels?), but there's balance, stuffing and freshness to develop nicely bottle. Only 600 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2022.
