The Wine Advocate:

La Maldita is no longer part of a range from Vivanco; it's a separate project that keeps growing, and there is a new red, the 2018 Garnacha Revolution. It was produced with grapes from six hectares of the variety planted in 2000 in the higher part of Tudelilla, a village renowned for its Garnacha. The vines are at 725 meters in altitude, and the grapes ripen slowly and keep good freshness. Furthermore, 2018 was a cooler vintage, very apt to produce fine, elegant, perfumed and fresh reds. This plot is stony with sand, and the vines are organically farmed, even if the wine does not carry a certification. The lightly crushed grapes fermented in oak vats with a 12-day maceration and soft pumping over. The wine matured in used 500-liter French oak barrels for 12 months. The oak is perfectly integrated into the wine, which comes through as pure, elegant and floral with a medium-bodied palate where there's great purity of flavors, very fine tannins and a long, clean and persistent finish. 6,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2019.
