L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2011 La Garnacha Olvidada de Aragón is produced with the grapes of a head-pruned vineyard planted in 1940 on a clay, iron and stony east-facing bank of the Ribota River. The grapes fermented at low temperature in 15,000-kilo cement vats and the wine aged for ten months in used French oak barrels. It's still marked by the smoke, toasty aromas from the barrel and notes of very ripe fruit. The palate has abundant grainy, dusty tannins that require some time in bottle to get polished. They do detract from the drinkability of the wine, that could be a lot more approachable. 20,000 bottles produced".
