L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2016 El Castro de Valtuille Mencía Joven has grapes from five or six different vineyards in the village of Valtuille de Abajo; it ferments in stainless steel and then spends a few months in very old 5,000-liter oak vats before bottling. This is more floral and less meaty, quite expressive and with more structure and clout, very apt for food. This is a fresh and short vintage, with great balance and a combination of power and elegance. Some 30,000 bottles produced."
