The Wine Advocate:
The 2017 Arinto Edição Nacional "Covela" comes in at 12.8% alcohol. This, said Tony Smith, is only the winery's second monovarietal, after the Avesso. The winery's terroir is a bit different. This is Vinho Verde, "but the strong sun is definitely Douro and the result [is] fuller-bodied wines, and Avesso grapes are the most typical of this southernmost swathe of the Verdes appellation," he said. Arinto is always more obvious to me in acidity and power. So, too, here.
