L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Blueberry and blackberry character with hints of graphite and stone. Medium body. Bright finish. Focused and polished.

Decanter:

Clean and clear, a lovely wet stone and blue fruit purity to this. Well made with bright and concentrated fruit, crystalline purity and nice length. Lots to enjoy here, unfussy, controlled with lots of life and freshness the whole way through. Detailed with liquorice and dark chocolate on the finish. Just lacks a bit of push and weight.

Jeb Dunnuck:

Tasted on two separate occasions, with one sample showing more aggressive tannins, the 2022 Château Chauvin reveals a deep purple hue as well as a lifted, floral bouquet of red, blue, and black fruits as well as graphite, crushed stone, and iron. Medium to full-bodied, it has building tannins, good overall concentration, and outstanding length. I suspect this pretty, perfumed, exotic Saint-Emilion will round into form over the course of its élevage. 90-92+
