"The 2012 3 de Tresmil is three varietals (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha) from the 3,000 hectares of the property and hence its name (three of three thousand). The wine aged for one year in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. It has a wild character with leather aromas, hints of graphite and ink, plus ripe fruit, black rather than red, and a balsamic profile that develops with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, and has very good acidity, good balance and clear flavors with some echoes from the barrel. 7,000 bottles produced".
