The red 2021 Xiulit was produced with Forcallà (or Forcallat) grapes from vines regrafted on Chardonnay plants with material from Moixent. It macerated with 10% full clusters for a week and matured in 400-liter amphorae for nine months. They harvest early and want to achieve a Gamay-like light red with some meaty notes in the nose and a palate of acid berries and citrus freshness, quite light. It has 12% alcohol and mellow acidity but citrus sensations. This was still unbottled but felt pretty stable. Around 800 bottles.
