The red 2021 Xiulit was produced with Forcallà (or Forcallat) grapes from vines regrafted on Chardonnay plants with material from Moixent. It macerated with 10% full clusters for a week and matured in 400-liter amphorae for nine months. They harvest early and want to achieve a Gamay-like light red with some meaty notes in the nose and a palate of acid berries and citrus freshness, quite light. It has 12% alcohol and mellow acidity but citrus sensations. This was still unbottled but felt pretty stable. Around 800 bottles.
Los viñedos de Les Freses nacen en lo que un día fue un cultivo de fresas, de ahí que la bodega tomara ese nombre. Junto al Parque Natural del Montgó, donde la sal del Mediterráneo está presente en el aire, se sitúa esta bodega alicantina.
