L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

A dry riesling masterpiece with a near-perfect balance of restrained ripeness, very complex wild herb aromas and an extremely mineral acidity. Stunning concentration and brilliance on the extremely focused palate. The enormous energy at the whiplash finish suggests this has excellent aging potential. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. Screw cap.

The Wine Advocate:

Tesch's Laubenheim 2021 Riesling Karthäuser offers a deep and intense but also refined and elegant nose with ripe and concentrated fruit aromas and very fine phenolic notes. Crystalline, lush and very elegant on the palate, this is a supple and rich but elegant and refined Karthäuser with enormously dense and intense fruit and a spectacularly long, intense, structured and sustainably saline finish. From old vines picked at the end of the harvest when the nights were already significantly cool, this Riesling fermented for almost half a year. 13% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022. - Stephan Reinhardt.
