Full-bodied and ripe, as the Hermanos Sastre wines tend to be, but this has enough structure and tension to show freshness and balance on the palate. Old vine concentration from six parcels in La Horra is the key to the quality of the wine, with a deftly judged combination of 
French and 30% American oak, glossy tannins and layers of blackberry and mulberry fruit.
