L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

There are always new wines at Bilbaínas, like this one that aged in old 500-liter oak "bocoyes" (casks) for 15 months. The 2014 Viña Pomal Selección 500 is a wine that goes back to the style and blend from yesteryear, Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha. It has an updated classical profile, quite typical, recognizable as Rioja, balsamic and aromatic, with a polished palate keeping good freshness and acidity. It's still young, and it should be better with a little more time in bottle. 48,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2017. - Luis Gutiérrez.
