Viña Pedrosa La Navilla 2018

The 2018 Viña Pedrosa La Navilla Reserva shows unusually ripe and heady for a cooler year like 2018. But sometimes in the cooler years the grapes ripen more slowly and more thoroughly and the wines come through as earthier and a little more rustic. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2021.

La Navilla hails from a single parcel of the same name at 844 metres in Pedrosa de Duero and is aged in 50% new wood. Structured, toasty and aromatic, as the Viña Pedrosa wines tend to be in their youth, it's a dense, compact, semi-traditional style with grippy tannins, sweet spices and the acidity and concentration to age.
