The Wine Advocate:

"The 2014 La Deva Vinyes Velles is a single vineyard red from old vines on limestone-rich soils at the vilalge of El Molar, a mixture of Garnacha and Cariñena with a pinch of white Macabeo. It's a little under two hectares of mostly Garnacha, a little Cariñena and quite a lot of Macabeo, surrounded by forests. They used 50% of full clusters, which fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine, first produced in 2014, matured in a new 1,800-liter oak foudre, a 500-liter barrel and egg-shaped ceramic vats. The nose is incredibly perfumed, and despite the new oak there are no traces of it; it's fruit-driven and a little heady, riper than La Selección with some notes of pit fruit and peach. The palate is terrific and there is great concentration of flavors, but the wine is not heavy at all, round and lush, very Garnacha. 4,000 bottles produced."
