Valserrano Reserva 2015

This red presents mocha-scented oak and licorice, in an assertive style, while also suggesting dark chocolate-coated blackberries and jet-black cherries on the nose. The full-bodied palate is where it’s all happening, though; muscular tannins take the dark fruit by the scruff of the neck and the acidity sends it long through the chewy finish. Drink in 2023.
