L'avis des experts

Decanter:

Rich blueberry, coffee and damson nose. The palate has subtle fruit and fine oak; good for the vintage. Medium-plus finish.

Tim Atkin:

This is the current Gran Reserva release from the García Viadero sisters, which spent a total of five years in new French, Hungarian and American oak before bottling. For a 2012 red, it's still remarkably young, with assertive wood, lots of depth and concentration, spicy blackberry fruit and a balsamic undertone. You could easily keep this for another five to seven years. 2021-29.
