The Wine Advocate (Octubre 2013):
"The 2012 Valderroa Mencia is produced from small plots in different villages, averaging 15-year-old vines planted mainly on slate. It shows a bright cherry color, and the nose is very primary, fruity, with red cherries, spices, feeling very Atlantic. The palate is quite light, showing tart cherries, a slight mintiness and a bitter finish. Give it plenty of air for the reduction to go away. 2012 was a difficult vintage for reds in Valdeorras. Drink 2014-2015".

Tinto que refleja la expresión varietal de la mencía. Fruta roja en cantidad, regaliz, violetas y balsámico. Buena acidez. Muy agradable.
