The Wine Advocate:

The 2013 Triton Mencia emerges from a 24.5-acre vineyard containing two plots, one planted in 1935 and one in 1942. Yields were a tiny 1.1 to 1.2 tons of fruit per acre, and this wine was aged 10 months in one- to three-year-old Burgundy and Bordeaux barrels. It is a major sleeper in the Ordoñez portfolio of values. Made from 100% Mencia, it exhibits a dense purple color along with a big, sweet nose of blueberries, black raspberries, wet stones and white flowers. Medium-bodied with supple tannins, good opulence and surprising intensity, this is a superb value for the price. Drink now-2018+. -Robert Parker Junior.
