The Wine Advocate:

The 2016 Saint Veran Clos des Poncetys comes from 0.8 hectare of red clay and a chalky bedrock and one-quarter of the crop is matured in oak barrels for around ten months. It has a clean and precise bouquet: apple blossom and cold wet stone, well defined and expanding in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a keen thread of acidity and just the right amount of tang courtesy of bitter lemon on the finish. I like the style and panache of this Saint-Véran. This is a well-crafted and very attractive Saint-Véran from Trenel.
