L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The eponymous red 2015 Traslanzas is a Tempranillo from 75-year-old vines produced in a classical 1990s Ribera del Duero style, dark, ripe, powerful and extracted with generous oak, plenty of tannins and a somewhat dusty finish. It's a wine that evolves very slowly and needs powerful food. 8,000 bottles were filled in August 2017.

Decanter:

A single-vineyard wine that’s quite exceptional for Cigales, more akin to a classic Ribera del Duero style, with ripe blackberry fruit and rich toasty aromas; firm and smooth, quite serious and dense. A rare Cigales, with plenty of elegance and good ageing potential. 14 months’ oak. Drinking Window 2020 - 2027
