The Wine Advocate:

The young-vine Albariño 2018 Tras da Canda Albariño comes from vines planted in the middle of a eucalyptus forest in 2012. 2017 was the breakthrough vintage for this bottling, and 2018 follows that path. It fermented and matured for one year in a 600-liter oak barrel. This feels quite different from the other Albariños; it's a little closed and has a faint bitterness and mellow acidity. For now, Méndez thinks the reds from this place behave better than the whites. The plants are fighting against the eucalyptus. 700 bottles were filled in September 2019.
