L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Plum and fruit tea with some cedar and cigar-box aromas follow through to a medium to full body with ultra fine tannins and a very pretty finish. This has the reserved tannins and depth of fruit that point to aging, but why wait? Drink or hold.

Jeb Dunnuck:

The first vintage for the bottling of this wine was in 1997, in honor of “the two sisters,” Fabia Cornaro dell’Acqua and Giovanna Cornaro Folonari, wife of Ambrogio and mother of Giovanni Folonari, the proprietors of the estate. The 2015 Le due Sorelle Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is expressive of the estate’s Mediterranean influence with a sun-kissed feel. It offers concentrated aromatics of candied red cherry, dusty earth, balsamic, and dried violets. The palate remains classic while taking on some richness of texture from the warmth of the vintage. It is enjoyable and approachable now or can be set aside for several years to come.
