L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

Like the rest of the 2016s, I am truly impressed by the 2016 White Wine 1 Chardonnay. It's a cloudy and unfiltered Chardonnay with no varietal aromas, but it has a vibrant and lively palate with pungent flavors, great acidity and a salty, extremely tasty finish. This is unique—not just in Chile but in the whole world. These wines from Huasco are produced from extreme vineyards in an oasis created by the Huasco river in the south of the Atacama desert, planted on limestone-rich soils with a high content of salt that clearly gives them a saline finish. The palate has the austerity of the limestone soils, serious and textured. 6,200 bottles were filled in February 2018. - Luis Gutiérrez.
