L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2014 Selección Mónica Martínez Tinto is a blend of Tempranillo with 25% Mazuelo (Cariñena) and 5% Garnacha and Graciano. It had a long maceration but relatively short élevage (13 months) in larger 400-, 500- and 600-liter used French barrels. As I felt with the whites, it has a classical profile with a twist, something rustic and developed, with notes of brick dust and earth, floral and with a touch of balsam and shoe polish. The palate is medium-bodied with some chalky tannins, clean flavors and very tasty finish. It was bottled in January 2016. 4,000 bottles produced."
