L'avis des experts

Decanter:

"Ripe, red fruit character on nose with plums and cherries. Full bodied, chocolatey, toffee palate with silky tannins and spicy finish."

The Wine Advocate:

"I had two vintages to taste of some of the wines, and this was the case with the entry-level 2014 Sela, an easy to drink and fresh blend of 93% Tempranillo with 5% Graciano and 2% Garnacha. The key for 2014 was the selection of grapes (and the previous work in the vineyard, of course) because it was not easy: it was dry and warm but rained during the summer and the harvest, and there was some heat, which resulted in lots of botrytis. The wine fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak vats, followed by one year in second and third use French barriques. They first produced this in 2008, as the vines they planted when the winery started were coming of age, and they used vines between 15 and 30 years of age. It's quite fruit forward, open and clean, with good ripeness and freshness, a success for the conditions of the harvest. The palate is fine and balanced, with a soft texture, fresh and accessible. 92,314 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2016".
