L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The top of the range 2014 Sedella was the first wine produced in the project, with the fruit from a single-vineyard planted in 1940 with a field blend of local grapes, mostly Romé, with some Garnacha, Jaén, Montua and Moscatel Romano on slate slopes. All grapes are picked and fermented together with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel followed by used barriques and egg-shaped cement vats for malolactic and an élevage of 12 to 14 months without racking. I always find a note of fresh meat, blood and iron common to many wines from grapes grown on slate soils. It also has lots of Mediterranean herb aromas of thyme, rosemary and lavender. The palate is very tasty, with fine-grained tannins and good freshness. I need to find those bottles from 2008 lying in my cellar... 2,997 bottles were filled in December 2015."
