Much of the critical focus these days is on Riojas from single parcels or villages, but the old tradition of blending across the three sub-regions - Alta, Alavesa and Oriental - is still alive and well. This cuvée of Tempranillo with 20% Graciano and 10% Mazuelo is a case in point - an elegant, perfumed, refined red with savoury tannins, sweet wild strawberry fruit and spicy, scented oak. 2021-31.
