Description

Lorsque ses frères ont rejoint le projet de Benjamín, ils ont démarré ensemble la production d’un nouveau vin, plus abordable. Ils l’ont baptisé Predicador (« le Prédicateur ») en hommage au personnage de Clint Eastwood dans Pale rider, le cavalier solitaire. Cet assemblage issu des vignes les plus jeunes du domaine, dont l’âge oscille entre 20 et 35 ans, se distingue par son équilibre et par la maturité de ses tanins. Frais et onctueux, il offre également une bonne persistance en bouche. Pour ce millésime, les œnologues du domaine ont par ailleurs décidé de le perfectionner avec ses grands frères La Cueva del Contador, La Viña de Andrés Romeo et Contador, afin de renforcer son potentiel.

"Different from the rest of the reds from the portfolio, the 2013 Predicador is perhaps showing the difficulties of the vintage with an Atlantic profile and some herbal notes that for a minute transported me to Bordeaux. The Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes fermented in small oak vats and matured in French barriques and resulted in a creamy wine with juicy fruit and very good integration of the wood. It is tasty, supple, approachable and has a good finish. However, this does not deliver the aromatics of the other reds. 90,000".
