The Wine Advocate:

I retasted the jammy 2017 Paydos, the wine produced in Toro, reflecting a warm and dry year with high ripeness and the customary 14.5% alcohol. This comes from 80-year-old vines in Morales de Toro where they managed to escape the killer frost from the year. It matured in 20% new barrels for 15 months. It's evolving nicely and slowly, keeping the juicy, jammy, fruit-driven and ripe character from the year with ripe fruit flavors in the finish. 5,700 bottles were filled in March 2019.
