L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 2018 Pas de Deux is the first wine here, a 50/50 blend of organically farmed Garnacha and Cariñena from Montsant. The whole berries fermented with a little bit of Garnacha Blanca, mostly in stainless steel and a small part in a clay amphora. It has a very pure nose, with clean aromas mixing Mediterranean herbs, spices and wild berries and flowers. The tender palate is medium-bodied, juicy and vibrant with acidity and fine-grained, chalky tannins. 1,200 bottles were filled in June 2019.

Decanter:

From biodynamically farmed vineyards located high above the village of Cornudella de Montsant, at the foot of Montsant mountain. Whole-bunch fermented, then aged in steel tank and amphorae. A beautifully perfumed nose of wild red berries and dried flowers with a savoury note of dried thyme. A lovely sense transparency on the palate. Very light on its feet, positively silky in texture with very fine structure and a fresh, mineral finish. Drinking Window 2020 - 2028.

James Suckling:

A wine with lovely pure fruit. Dried strawberries and cherries with hints of flowers. Full body. Polished and chewy tannins with a lovely texture and intensity. Creamy and muscular. Caresses the palate. Purity and focus. Mostly garnacha with cariñena. Small production from the winemaker of Terroir Al Limit. Drink in 2020.
